Snow!

We got a lot of snow. Almost 10 inches. This is what it looked like early this morning. After lunch, mom went food hunting. After she brought the bags inside, she went back to out to take a picture of the snow. When she opened the door to come back in, guess who escaped?

Gizzy, of course. Fortunately, there isn't any place else to go but the yard, so he went back there. Mom let him investigate for a minute, then scooped him up and brought him back inside for his harness. They went out again, but didn't stay very long. The noise of this enormous metal snow-mashing monster scared Gizzy so much that he ran back to the house.

Mom will bring Gizzy out again later when it is quieter.

Now she's in the sewing room, working on kitty quilts. She bought some more black thread. (giggle)

You gots lots of snow like we did. Unlike Gizzy, I wouldn't even try to go outside. I know snow is cold and wet. Not the best of feelings if you ask me. I don't know about you, but I plan on staying inside where it's nice, warm, and dry with a fire going in the fireplace.

Is it spring yet?

That snow looks pretty. We like to go out and play with it, but we didn't get any this year.

Gizzy went out in that? Ugh. I don't wanna go out in that. Mom put sum of that white stuff in my water once, an it just melted away.

Have you heard about the big pet food recall? Cats and dogs are having kidney failure. Symtoms include loss of appetite and a change in water consumtion - either drinking a lot more or a lot less.

Check out the web site menufoods (dot)com(slash)recall then click on the line for cat products to get the list of brands that are being recalled. There are twenty some brands listed.

Gizzy's bustin' out! Nice to see him out and about and interested in things.

It sounds like Gizzy is just doin' his thing. Good for him ... He seems tenacious. The goopy stuff in the tube is often a terrific appetite enhancer. If he'll take it, that's good ... We've never been that lucky with the tube, but some cats do extremely well and like the taste.

Very good luck to you all ... Too bad Zorro couldn't stay.

Gizzy must really be feeling better if he wants to go out in the snow to look around. Good for him. It makes me really happy.
